He lost his Aunt May and divorced his beloved wife Mary Jane out of his fear of having the children she wanted. Over the years, though, he grew tired of saving the city, and began sustaining serious injuries and making terrible business decisions. At sixteen years old, he was bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him super-strength, durability, and the ability to stick to flat surfaces, and after losing his uncle, he learned that with great power, comes great responsibility.
